1. Welcome

At Platinum Finance, we believe finance should be simple, transparent and tailored to you.

These Terms & Conditions explain how we work, how we are paid, how we use your information, and the basis on which we provide our services.

By using our website, making an enquiry, submitting an application or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

2. Who We Are

Platinum Finance Limited is a New Zealand finance brokerage and intermediary.

We work with a panel of lenders and service providers to assist customers in obtaining suitable finance solutions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Platinum Finance does not lend money directly.

3. Our Role

We act as an independent intermediary between customers and lenders. Our services may include:

  • assessing your circumstances
  • structuring your application
  • identifying suitable lending options
  • presenting applications to lenders
  • assisting through to settlement
  • providing ongoing support where appropriate

All lending decisions are made solely by the lender. Approval is subject to lender criteria, affordability, responsible lending obligations and satisfactory documentation.

4. Information You Provide

You agree that all information provided to us is true, complete and not misleading.

You must promptly notify us of any material change to your:

  • income
  • employment
  • liabilities
  • address
  • contact details
  • financial circumstances

If requested information is not provided, we may be unable to assess your application or provide services.

5. Consent to Collection, Use and Disclosure of Information

You authorise Platinum Finance Limited to collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy for purposes including:

  • assessing finance applications
  • verifying identity
  • obtaining supporting information
  • submitting applications to lenders
  • managing customer relationships
  • complying with legal obligations
  • fraud prevention
  • offering relevant products or services where permitted

If you provide information about another person, you confirm you have authority to provide that information and to authorise us to use it in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Credit Checks & Information Sharing

To assess your application, we may obtain and share your credit information with credit reporting agencies including:

These agencies may hold information relating to:

  • repayment history
  • credit enquiries
  • defaults
  • identity data
  • other credit-related information

By proceeding, you authorise us and participating lenders to access and exchange such information where reasonably required.

You have the right to access your credit information, request correction of inaccuracies, and contact those agencies directly.

7. Supporting Information Checks

Where relevant, you authorise us to obtain and use supporting information from third parties including:

  • employers
  • referees
  • landlords
  • accountants
  • identity verification providers

for the purpose of assessing or supporting your application.

8. Bank Verification Services

Where authorised by you, we may use secure third-party providers to obtain bank transaction information or statements for the purpose of verifying income, expenses and affordability.

We do not require or store your internet banking passwords.

We only access information reasonably necessary to support your application or related services.

9. Referrals to Third Party Advisers

Platinum Finance Limited may refer customers to third-party advisers for the purpose of providing advice or services relating to:

  • KiwiSaver
  • Life Insurance
  • Income Protection
  • Mortgage Protection
  • related financial products

Where you consent, we may share relevant personal information such as your name, contact details and relevant financial information with:

  • Resure Insurance & KiwiSaver Advisers
  • other similar authorised providers from time to time

This is to enable them to contact you and provide advice, services or information relevant to your needs.

You are under no obligation to proceed with any service offered by those providers.

Referral Fees

Platinum Finance may receive a referral fee, commission or other commercial benefit where permitted if you engage a provider introduced by us.

This will not result in additional cost to you unless separately disclosed.

You may request further information regarding such arrangements at any time.

10. How We Are Paid

In most cases, Platinum Finance receives commission from lenders when finance is settled.

This is generally not a direct cost to you unless specifically disclosed.

Any fees payable by you will be disclosed and agreed in advance.

11. Introducers

If you were introduced to Platinum Finance by a third party, we may provide reasonable progress updates or outcome information where permitted by law and relevant to that referral relationship.

12. Electronic Communications

You consent to receiving communications electronically, including by:

  • email
  • SMS
  • telephone
  • secure online platforms

This may include disclosures, notices, contracts, updates and related communications.

You may request alternative communication methods where reasonably practicable.

13. Website Accounts and Security

If you are provided access to an online portal or account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.

Any person using your authorised credentials may be treated as acting with your authority unless you notify us otherwise.

14. No Guarantee

Platinum Finance does not guarantee:

  • approval of any application
  • interest rates
  • lender fees
  • finance terms
  • settlement timing
  • lender decisions

All outcomes depend on lender assessment and circumstances at the relevant time.

15. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Platinum Finance Limited excludes liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of our services or website, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Changes to Terms

We may amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time by publishing updated terms on our website.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Terms and Conditions for Island Holiday Promotion and Prezzy Card Giveaway

  1. 1. Introduction

    1. 1.1
      These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Island Holiday Promotion (“Island Promotion”) and Prezzy Card Giveaway (“Prezzy Card Promotion”). Collectively the “Promotions”.
    2. 1.2
      By entering the Promotions, participants agree to be bound by these Terms. The Promotions are organised by Platinum Finance Limited (“Organiser”), whose registered office is located at Level 1, 40 Welles Street, Christchurch Central, Christchurch 8011.

  2. 2. Promotion Period

    1. 2.1
      The Island Promotion will commence on 10 October 2026 and conclude on 31 January 2027 (“Island Promotion Period”). Entries received outside the Island Promotion Period will not be considered.
    2. 2.2
      The Prezzy Card Promotion will commence on 10 October 2026 and conclude on 10 May 2027 (“Prezzy Card Promotion Period”). Entries received outside the Prezzy Card Promotion Period will not be considered.

  3. 3. Eligibility

    1. 3.1
      The Promotions are open to residents of New Zealand, aged 18-years and above as of 10 October 2026.
    2. 3.2
      The Promotions are only available to persons who have applied for a loan through the Organiser and have had their application approved and settled prior to the expiry of the Island Promotion Period or the Prezzy Card Promotion Period, as the case may be.
    3. 3.3
      Employees, agents, and immediate family members of the Organiser, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and any other party directly involved in the Promotions are not eligible to participate.
    4. 3.4
      Participants must comply with all applicable laws and regulations to be eligible.

  4. 4. How to Enter

    1. 4.1
      To enter the Promotions, participants must scan the QR code located on the pamphlet received by the participant during the Island Promotion Period, or Prezzy Card Promotion Period, following which the participant must complete the entry form on the website page linked to by the applicable QR code.
    2. 4.2
      Each participant may submit only one entry per settled loan with the Organiser. Multiple entries beyond the permitted limit will be disqualified.
    3. 4.3
      Incomplete, inaccurate, or fraudulent entries will be deemed invalid.

  5. 5. Prizes

    1. 5.1
      The prizes for the Island Promotion consists of:
      1. (1)airfares for two (2) people departing either Wellington, Auckland, or Christchurch to any country within the Pacific Ocean as determined by the Organiser prior to the expiry of the Island Promotion Period;
      2. (2)accommodation for 3-nights at a hotel of the Organiser’s selection;
      3. (3)the combined value of the Island Promotion does not exceed $4,000.00 NZD inclusive of GST.
    2. 5.2
      The prizes for the Prezzy Card Promotion consist of eleven (11) Prezzy cards as issued by epay New Zealand Limited, each with a value of $500.00 NZD.
      1. (a)Two (2) Prezzy cards will be issued in the months of October, November, and December;
      2. (b)One (1) Prezzy card will be issued in the months of January, February, March, April, and May.
    3. 5.3
      Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other alternative.
    4. 5.4
      The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.

  6. 6. Winner Selection

    1. 6.1
      The winners of the Prezzy Card Promotion will be selected on the 10th of each month during the Prezzy Card Promotion Period by random draw.
    2. 6.2
      The winner of the Island Promotion will be selected on 10 February 2027 by random draw.
    3. 6.3
      The decision of the Organiser regarding the selection of winners is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
    4. 6.4
      Winners will be notified via an email, with a follow up call from the Organiser within 5-working days of the selection date.

  7. 7. Claiming Prizes

    1. 7.1
      Winners must claim their prizes by way of email confirmation to the Organiser within 90-days of notification of success.
    2. 7.2
      Failure to claim the prize within the specified timeframe may result in forfeiture, and the Organiser reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
    3. 7.3
      If a winner is unable to meet the terms and conditions stated herein, the applicable prize will be forfeited, and a new prize winner will be drawn.

  8. 8. Disclaimers

    1. 8.1
      The Organiser accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, or cannot be delivered due to technical or other reasons.
    2. 8.2
      The Organiser is not responsible for any technical issues, including but not limited to network, server, or hardware failures, that may affect participation in the Promotion.

  9. 9. Travel Conditions

    1. 9.1
      Prize winners of the Island Promotion are solely responsible for ensuring they meet all the travel requirements and possess the necessary travel documentation for their trip. This includes, but is not limited to:
      1. (a)holding a valid passport with at least six (6) months validity remaining at the time of travel;
      2. (b)securing valid visas or re-entry permits if departing New Zealand on a foreign passport;
      3. (c)discharging any unpaid fines which might prevent travel; and
      4. (d)Being aware of any criminal convictions, serious travel convictions, or health conditions (including communicable diseases) that may require additional processing time or documentation to travel.
    2. 9.2
      The winner of the Island Promotion must arrange with the Organiser to travel to the selected destination within 6-months of 10 February 2027, including arranging to travel to a valid point of departure (where necessary). Failure to organise travel by the date will result in the winner forfeiting his or her rights to the Island Promotion.

  10. 10. Prezzy Card

    1. 10.1
      The Prezzy Card is non-reloadable, and except where otherwise permitted by New Zealand law, cannot be resold, exchanged, transferred, redeemed for cash, refunded, or returned.   11. 11. Limitation of Liability

    1. 11.1
      To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organiser shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by participants or third parties arising from or in connection with the Promotions or the prizes, except where caused by the Organiser’s own negligence.
    2. 11.2
      Participants indemnify the Organiser against any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation in the Promotions.

  12. 12. Privacy

    1. 12.1
      By entering the Promotions, participants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information by the Organiser for the purposes of administering the Promotion and as otherwise set out in the Organiser’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.platinumfinance.co.nz/privacy-policy.
    2. 12.2
      Participants may opt out of receiving marketing communications from the Organiser at any time by following the instructions provided in such communications.

  13. 13. General

    1. 13.1
      The Organiser reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Promotions at any time without prior notice.
    2. 13.2
      These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from or in connection with the Promotions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
    3. 13.3
      If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

      By participating in either the Promotions, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
